About Brooke
Clear answers for families finding home care
Brooke is a free New Jersey directory of every licensed home care agency, with each agency's state record, real reviews and plain-language guides. We never take commissions.
Why we're called Brooke
A brook is a small, clear stream. You can see straight to the bottom. That's what we want choosing home care to feel like: nothing hidden, nothing murky. Every agency we list shows what the state knows about it, whether or not they pay us.

Why we started Brooke
Ask anyone who has searched for home care online and you'll hear the same story. You fill out one form, and within the hour your phone won't stop ringing. Many popular referral sites pass your details to several agencies at once, and each of them pays for the chance to call you first.
That model works for the referral site. It doesn't work for families, who end up choosing under pressure from whoever called fastest. And it doesn't work for good agencies either, who have to pay to compete for a lead that's already been sold to their competitors.
We built Brooke to change who's in control. Families see every licensed agency, their state record and real reviews, then decide who to contact and when. Agencies get found on their record and their reviews, not on who paid the most for a phone number. No one's details get passed along without their say.
When everything is out in the open, families and agencies can choose each other with confidence.

Common questions
Is Brooke really free for families?
Yes. You never pay to search, compare, or contact agencies.
Can an agency pay to remove a bad record or review?

Where does the agency information come from?
Public records from the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs, the NJ Department of Health, CMS Care Compare and accrediting bodies, plus details agencies provide.
How current is the information?
Each profile shows the date it was last checked.
Does Brooke provide care?
No. Brooke is a directory. Care is provided by the agencies you choose.
